Wilcoxen Marine joined EPower Marine this year displaying the ReefCat and BeachCat sailboats alongside the ElectraCat, Lear 204, and the EPIC Whisper Electric Outboard.

An annual holiday favorite that drew 59 decorated boats participating in the 10 mile parade this year. You couldn't miss our Lear demo boat, the 'Sound of Silence' all lit up! The weather was perfect so no need for the EZ2CY windows or heaters this year! We had the original 'Grinch' soundtrack playing on the CD, of course.
Most of the other boats use loud gas generators to power their string of lights. We simply plug into a 1000 watt inverter that runs off of the battery bank for quiet, safe 120v power- yet another advantage of electric boats!

|
The premier boat show on Florida's gulf coast. We had a Lear 204 lined up next to the Vision 240 and the EPIC Whisper XT Electric Outboard Motor. |
October 19th-21st, 2007 at the South Florida Fair Grounds, WPB Florida
Sure, it's a home show, but the Lear is as much an extension of your living room as it is a boat! With comfortable couch like seating, fine wood furnishings and detail, a fabulous sound system, wet bar/fridge, and a 'bathroom' down at the end of the hall, this boat qualifies! EPower Marine had the only 2 boats in the entire show, and we were happy to be in the 'Green Pavilion' hosted by Florida Public Utilities Commission.

EPower Marine hit the road and spent a week in and around the Chesapeake area of Virginia and Maryland. The Lear 204 participated in the 7th annual Wye Island Challenge, a 24 mile electric-only boat race. Following that event we spent a day at the small craft festival, and then went up to Annapolis harbor and cruised around. The weather was fabulous and we will be back for this event next year!

August 10th - 12th 2007 at the Orange County Convention Center in Orlando Florida
Come see us in Orlando and get out of the heat! This is an all indoor show and is very popular amongst the central Florida lake crowd. In addition to the Lear 204 we will have the Torqeedo 'Cruise' Electric Outboard Motor made in Germany (first appearance in Florida!). This motor would work well for small pontoons or as a sailboat auxiliary kicker. |
|
The Lear
204 comes in an endless array of color and graphic
combinations, and EPower is proud to bring the first
of these to southern Florida.

March 22nd - 25th, 2007 in West Palm Beach, Florida
The 22nd Annual Palm Beach Boat Show is one of the
top ten boat shows in the country, and features $300+
million worth of boats and marine accessories from
every major manufacturer. This popular event
includes more than 900 boats, from inflatable to
super-yachts - plus free fishing clinics for kids,
nautical fashion shows, imaginative entertainment
and non-stop fun for the whole family.
As an active
member of the show’s primary
sponsor, the Marine Industries Association of Palm
Beach County, EPower will be in-water, showing the ‘Sound
of Silence’ - one of our Lear 204 electric
boats. Learn
more here.
As usual, the press couldn't resist the Lear 204 and we got written up on the front page of the Palm Beach Post on opening day! |
March 2nd - 4th, 2007 in Key West, Florida
Like the town that hosts it, this popular boat show has
a personality all its own. The Lear 204 will be
displayed “on the hard” (not in-water) but
interested visitors will be encouraged to come aboard.
This show is very dog friendly, and promises to have
something for everyone.

February 15th - 19th, 2007 in Miami, Florida
EPower would like to remind everyone to attend this always popular
show. While EPower will not be exhibiting, we will be in
attendance to see the vast array of new and exciting products,
as well as to meet with other vendors to discuss potential partnerships.

February 10th, 2007 in Port St. Lucie, Florida
The EPower Mercedes Benz Sprinter tow vehicle, chosen
for it’s unique looks, practical size, flexibility,
and economical diesel operation (as well as the ability
to use alternative fuels like Bio-Diesel) was displayed
alongside southern Florida’s most sought-after
collectibles. |
January 26th-28th 2007 at FAU Campus, Jupiter, Florida
While this show catered primarily to the ‘electric
car crowd’, many attendees marveled at the Lear
204 electric boat. Many commented positively
on seeing such a “highly refined” product
available.

We were happy to meet many interesting and forward-thinking
boaters in Pompano Beach. It's always fun for us to detail
the progress made in modern electric boats, embodied
by the Lear 204. The "Pompano Forum" newspaper
also saw fit to give us special mention in their coverage
of this show. Many thanks to them!

January 12th - 14th, 2007
in Stewart, Florida
EPower exhibited in-water at this exciting show and
featured the 'Sound of Silence' - providing many with
an opportunity to view (and review!) their first modern
(and luxurious!) electric boat.

January 4th, 2007
The new year brought more than resolutions to the staff
at EPower Marine - TWO brand new white Lear 204s arrived
at Banyan Bay Marina in Dania Beach Florida. Joules
Yacht Transport took great care of these vessels
during their 3,000 mile trip east. Many thanks!

December 8th, 2006
As the only electric boat in the parade,
we earned more than our share of admirers and friendly
waves. The 20 mile route was smoothly completed at an
average of 5.7 MPH, and the EZ2CY windows were there
to ward off the gale-force wind gusts
and rain showers. All occupants of the ‘Sound
of Silence’ enjoyed the comfort and warmth while
munching shrimp cocktail and sipping champagne. Can’t
wait ‘til next year! |
November 15, 2006
Our Mercedes Benz Sprinter van has arrived. It
is decorated with custom graphics and enhanced by many
options, including a Class III hitch, an MP3 stereo,
16” Mercedes Benz alloy wheels and wide Continental
tires, tinted side and rear windows, custom mirrors,
lighting and luxurious carpet. Powered by a 2.7 liter
turbo diesel engine (which we will soon have running
bio-diesel), we expect many years of trouble-free towing
and daily deliveries.

Weeks of work have culminated in the
launch of EPower Marine’s first web site. In the
coming months and years, we plan to grow the site with
video clips, newsletters and testimonials, so keep checking

October 26th - 30th, 2006
EPower Marine made it’s public debut at the 2006
Fort Lauderdale Boat Show. The Sun Sentinel review
of this show included in-depth looks at only two of
the hundreds of boats on display, and (you guessed it)
the Lear 204 was one of them! An auspicious beginning,
we hope.

October 1, 2006
With the arrival of the first Lear 204 to South Florida’s
waters, EPower Marine is now officially “in business”.
With the goal of bringing electric boats to the largest
marine market in the US, EPower is excited about our
future. Of
the occasion, EPower President Gabriela Bonome-Sims exclaimed, "After
months of planning and analysis, seeing the first Lear
here, it's very, very exciting. I can't wait to take
it out cruising - let's go!" |
